As you think about your next car, decide what type of car will suit your needs. Thinking of a subcompact hatchback? Compare the 2018 Nissan Versa Note to the 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage. The Versa Note exceeds the Mirage in space, power and technology. Continue to learn more.

Space

When it comes to both cargo space and passenger space, the Versa Note has more than the Mitsubishi Mirage. Passengers can enjoy and stretch out more with 94 cubic feet of space in the Versa Note. As for cargo space, the Versa Note offers 18.8 cubic feet while the Mitsubishi Mirage offers 17.2 cubic feet.

Additionally, the Versa Note features a Divide-N-Hide® Adjustable Floor, which allows you to divide the floor to arrange cargo as needed and keep valuables out of sight from passersby.

Power

The 2018 Versa Note delivers greater and more effective power than the 2018 Mirage. The Nissan hatchback delivers 109 HP and 107 lb.-ft. or torque, while the Mitsubishi delivers a paltry 78 HP and 74 lb.-ft. of torque. The Versa Note’s fuel tank holds 10.8 gallons (9.2 gallons in the Mirage), so you can expect a greater range of fuel.

Each Versa Note comes standard with an XTRONIC® CVT (continuously variable transmission). This transmission uses a pulley and belt system and does not shift between gears. It allows for better acceleration. Because it has less moving parts, it will experience less wear and tear over time, allowing your transmission to withstand the test of time longer. The Mitsubishi is standard with a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional automatic transmission, at an added cost. Driving a stick shift is not a skill everyone possesses, and they may not want to pay extra for an automatic. A CVT is not an option for the Mitsubishi.

Technology

Enjoy available voice-command in the 2018 Versa Note. No trim level of the Mirage offers the option of a voice control system.

Use Siri® Eyes Free and/or (together if you have an iPhone) Bluetooth® Audio to listen to the music on your phone, make phone calls and reply to messages safely while keeping your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility™ (not made for the Mitsubishi Mirage) is a comprehensive safety net that provides the driver backup. It includes an advanced airbag system1, vehicle dynamic control (VDC)2, a traction control system (TCS), anti-locking braking system (ABS)3, electronic force brake distribution (EBD)3 and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is paired with the available Easy-Fill Tire Alert4 (alerts you when the tire is filled with the appropriate amount of air).

VDC and TCS monitor your steering and braking and respond to the road conditions for the best handling.
